Double Fix Spacer

The Double Fix Spacer is a plastic rebar spacer designed for two-layer reinforcement in concrete slabs. It consists of two interlocking parts:

• Base: Supports the lower reinforcement mesh
• Head: Holds the upper reinforcement mesh

• Suitable for two-layer reinforcement in concrete slabs and thick floors
• Allows placement of rebars up to 28mm on the base and up to 18mm on the head
• Point load capacity: 150 to 200 kg, depending on spacer height
• Prevents rebar displacement during concrete pouring

Advantages of Double Fix Spacer

Using separate spacers for each reinforcement layer can be costly and impractical in densely reinforced slabs. The Double Fix Spacer eliminates this issue by securing both upper and lower reinforcement layers in the correct position, ensuring accurate concrete cover and improving overall structural quality.

Installation of Double Fix Spacer

1. Insert the head (male part) into the base (female part) and press firmly until it locks in place.
2. Place the lower reinforcement mesh on the base. The two opposing arms of the base allow rebars to be positioned perpendicularly.
3. After assembling and tying the lower mesh, position the upper reinforcement mesh into the clamping slots on the head.

Consumption Rate

For normal-weight double-layer slabs:

• 4 spacers per square meter

For heavy double-layer slabs:

• The required number depends on the total weight of reinforcement per square meter
• If reinforcement is exceptionally heavy, additional Hard Fix spacers can be placed every 1-2 meters as support

Important Considerations

• Designed specifically for two-layer reinforcement in concrete slabs and thick floors
• The standard consumption is 4 spacers per square meter, but the exact quantity depends on load calculations
• If lower reinforcement is excessively heavy, additional Double Fix Bases can be used separately for extra support
• For heavily loaded upper reinforcement, Hard Fix spacers can be added at regular intervals to reinforce the structure
