Cage Fix Spacer
Plastic Cage Fix Spacer
Spacer for Pile Driving and Rebar Cages
The Cage Fix Spacer is specially designed for providing concrete cover in columnar or networked pile formwork and is most commonly used in bridge foundations, sliding formworks, climbing formworks, marine structures, and generally in heavy vertical construction. Cage Fix Spacers do not have teeth on their edges, which prevents any damage to the spacer or the structure during the movement of the formwork. The Cage Fix Spacer can withstand a point load of up to 300 kg and can accommodate rebar sizes ranging from 8 to 14 mm between its prongs.
For pile driving and rebar cages that are sent into drilled holes, strong and smooth-edged spacers are required so that they do not break during movement. This is particularly important in heavy formwork for special structures. The Cage Fix circular spacer is designed for this purpose and is more durable than any other spacers used in vertical applications.
This plastic cover works similarly to other spacers to create the necessary gap for rebar, preventing the structure from breaking. Ultimately, its use significantly improves the quality and strength of concrete structures.
Features of the Cage Fix Plastic Spacer
- Can withstand a point load of up to 300 kg
- Accommodates rebars from 8 to 14 mm in diameter between its prongs
- High strength and durability
- Suitable for vertical surfaces
How to Use the Cage Fix Plastic Spacer
🔹 For Pile Cages:
After the rebar cage is woven, the Cage Fix spacers are installed on the spiral bars (stirrups) when the cage is ready to be lowered into the drilled hole, ensuring the proper distance for concrete cover relative to the soil.
🔹 For Heavy Vertical Formwork:
The Cage Fix spacer is installed on the stirrups (reinforcing bars) of the formwork.
Consumption Rates for Cage Fix Plastic Spacer
| Application | Consumption Rate |
| Rebar Cages for Pile Driving | 8 spacers around the diameter of the rebar cage, repeated every 1 meter of height |
| Heavy Vertical Formwork | 4 to 6 spacers per square meter of surface area |
Important Notes Regarding the Cage Fix Plastic Spacer
- The Cage Fix Plastic Spacer is specifically designed for vertical surfaces constructed with heavy and sliding formworks and for pile rebar cages in drilling operations.
- It is recommended to install Cage Fix spacers after weaving the rebar cages and before the cage is lowered into the drilling hole.
- The Cage Fix circular spacer is designed for heavy vertical surfaces and is not suitable for horizontal surfaces.
