Waterproof Coating for Cement Pool Surfaces
Base: Acrylic Resins
Pool painting has been an important part of maintaining cement pools for many years. With the advancement in technology for producing specialized paints, pool painting has evolved to cover not only pools but also spas, jacuzzis, fountains, and other structures constantly exposed to water. Beton Plast Chemical Company has developed a pool paint with a high coverage capacity and simultaneous waterproofing capability. This water-based pool paint is formulated using acrylic resins, water-blocking agents, and special chemical additives. Once applied to the surface, it fills in cracks, creating a seamless, waterproof layer ideal for surfaces exposed to constant water and humidity. Though pool paint is typically blue, it can be produced in various colors based on the client’s preference.
After painting the pool, the presence of oxygen in the water prevents unpleasant odors or water contamination. This pool paint has strong adhesion to cement and concrete surfaces.
Nano Pool Paint is an advanced type of paint formulated using nanotechnology, designed for coating and protecting pools and surfaces in constant contact with water. It is water-resistant and has good flexibility, making it adaptable to temperature changes and mechanical stress.
Mechanism of Action of Nano Pool Paint
Nano Pool Paint is formulated with monomeric acrylic resins, water-repellent agents, and unique color pigments. The high percentage of acrylic resin in its composition gives it strong adhesion to the underlying surfaces. When applied correctly, it provides durability and performance. This pool-specific paint also exhibits resistance to hydrostatic water pressure.
Properties and Effects of Nano Pool Paint
- Non-absorbent and resistant to water penetration.
- Excellent adhesion to underlying surfaces.
- Long-lasting in aquatic and humid environments.
- High flexibility and elasticity.
- Easy to apply on surfaces.
- Available in a variety of colors.
- High abrasion resistance.
- Ability to cover and seal cracks.
Applications of Nano Pool Paint
- Ideal for painting jacuzzis and sauna ceilings.
- Suitable for painting the internal surfaces of pools.
- Can be used to paint concrete and stone water features.
- Suitable for painting all water-related structures.
- Can be used for painting artificial lakes.
- Suitable for painting the ceilings of building installations.
Physical and Chemical Specifications of Nano Pool Paint
| Feature | Description |
| State | Viscous liquid |
| Color | White, Blue, Green |
| Density | 1.4 gr/cm³ |
| Final Drying Time | 3 to 7 days |

Consumption Rate of Nano Pool Paint
The consumption rate depends on the surface area, roughness, and porosity of the surface. Under normal conditions, one kilogram of Nano Pool Paint can cover 3 to 4 square meters in one layer.
How to Use Nano Pool Paint
- Ensure the underlying surface is free of dirt, grease, dust, etc. If contamination is present, clean the surface using water pressure (water jet) or sandblasting.
- The underlying concrete should be at least 28 days old and fully dry.
- If there are surface cracks, use a concrete repair mortar to fill them.
- If waterproofing materials were used in the construction of the pool or if the pool is old, consider applying a two-component waterproofing agent like Z2000.
- If moisture penetration exists under negative pressure, use a crystalline waterproofing agent to seal the surface.
- For optimal results, apply a primer layer on the concrete surface before applying the pool paint.
- Apply Nano Pool Paint in two layers.
- For the first layer, you may add a small amount of water (10–15%) if using a roller, or up to 20% if using a brush. Mix well with an electric mixer.
- The second layer should be applied undiluted and in the opposite direction of the first layer.
Allow the pool or water structure to fill with water only after the Nano Pool Paint has fully dried.
Safety of Nano Pool Paint
- This paint is not toxic or harmful to the environment.
- Wear safety goggles, gloves, and work clothes during application.
- In case of ingestion, consult a doctor immediately.
- If in contact with skin or eyes, wash thoroughly with clean water.
- This product is not flammable.
