What is a Strandfix Spacer?
The Strandfix Spacer is used to hold and stabilize boreholes that are created using a series of strand nails. It is also used for assembling strand cables in projects related to mountain stabilization, dam construction, and bridge building. The plastic spacer is placed at the center of the strand cables, where the strand cables fit into its longitudinal grooves, and the corresponding tube passes through the central hole of the spacer. It is recommended to wrap wire around the spacer after installation to secure the strand cables in place. The Strandfix spacer is used in anchor bond areas to separate the strands and ensure the minimum required cover around each strand for corrosion protection and enhanced bonding strength.

Strand spacers are typically positioned 30–60 cm above and below the anchor point and at the top of the anchor bond area. The intermediate strand spacing generally ranges from 150 to 300 cm. This spacer is primarily used for bundling several strand cables in a single tie, maintaining the proper distance between the strands, and assembling strand cables to enhance stability and strength in projects like dam construction and bridge building.

How to Use the Strandfix Spacer

For every 50 cm of strand cable, it is recommended to use 1 Strandfix Spacer.
