How to Use the MOLD X150 Paving Mold

2. Pre-lubricate the Mold: Apply oil or diesel to the mold before placing it on the surface to prevent cement from sticking.
3. Arrange the Molds: Position the molds in the desired pattern. Make sure the mold base is saturated with fresh water to prevent the ground from absorbing the water from the mixture.
4. Pour the Mixture: Pour the cement mixture into the mold and smooth the surface with a trowel. If using multiple colors, use smaller trowels for precise filling.
5. Vibration: Lightly tap the mold with your hand or the bottom of the trowel to ensure the cement is compact and properly distributed.
6. Curing: After the mold is filled, allow the cement to set for 2 to 3 hours before removing the mold. Make sure the mold is removed vertically to avoid damaging the formed pattern.
7. Curing Process: Keep the paved surface moist for 3 days for proper curing. After 24-48 hours, the surface will be walkable, and after 7 days, it can withstand heavier loads, such as vehicle traffic.
8. Cleaning and Storage: Clean the molds with water and a soft brush, and store them properly for future use.

Recommended Mold Usage

For smaller areas, 2 to 4 molds are sufficient, but for larger areas, you might need up to 16 molds or more. The more molds you use, the faster the process will be, allowing for quicker curing time and more efficient paving.
