Mid Bolt Conic (Plastic Mid Bolt Cone)

The Plastic Mid Bolt Cone is an essential component for the ends of the plastic waterproof bolt system. It is placed inside the bolt connector and plays a key role in completing the structure of the Plastic Mid Bolt. This cone helps prevent the leakage of concrete slurry from the mold holes during the concrete pouring process. Once inserted, it also remains permanently embedded within the concrete.

The Mid Bolt Cone is a crucial part of the concrete formwork systems, as it is used to fix the formwork and create specific gaps between the concrete walls. Its conical shape helps maintain the formwork’s stability and prevents deformations during the pouring process. During concrete pouring, it is placed between the two formwork sections to create the desired gap and stabilize the form.

How to Use the Plastic Mid Bolt Cone

After the concrete and formwork are removed, the Plastic Mid Bolt Cone is extracted from the concrete using pliers to allow the insertion of stoppers into the bolt connector. It is essential to fill the void left by the removal of the cone with a grout mix of cement and bonding agent for proper waterproofing.

For each plastic waterproof bolt, two Plastic Mid Bolt Cones are required.

Important Notes About the Plastic Mid Bolt Cone

• The use of the Plastic Mid Bolt Cone at both ends of the plastic waterproof bolt is mandatory. Without it, the stopper cannot be installed correctly.
• If the Mid Bolt Cone is not used, concrete slurry may leak from the mold holes, leading to weak resistance points in the concrete.
