Description of Proofab Tile Adhesive Powder
What is Proofab Tile Adhesive Powder?
There are many products produced in the construction field, one of which is tile adhesives. One of the best and most commonly used construction adhesive products is Proofab Tile Adhesive Powder, which is made of cement, polymer resins, and mineral fillers. These products are of very high quality. The tile adhesive powder is cement-based, reinforced with polymers, and formulated for high moisture resistance. This product is ideal for bonding tiles and ceramics on walls, floors, and cement or concrete surfaces both inside and outside buildings. By using tile adhesive powder, the resistance of tiles to moisture increases. This product has stronger adhesion compared to paste tile adhesives, making it an excellent choice for bonding tiles on vertical surfaces. Moreover, its use reduces the costs of operational processes.
Proofab tile adhesive powder is a type of adhesive in powder form that is used for installing tiles, ceramics, stones, and other building materials on various surfaces. By adding water to the adhesive powder and mixing it, it forms a usable mortar. This adhesive creates strong bonding power after mixing with water, firmly holding tiles onto surfaces.
Mechanism of Action of Proofab Tile Adhesive Powder
What is the mechanism of action of Proofab Tile Adhesive Powder?
One of the most commonly used types of construction adhesives is cement-based tile adhesive powder. As mentioned above, it is made from cement, mineral fillers, and polymer resins, enhancing its bonding power. Due to the polymers used in the production of this product, it becomes moisture-resistant once dry. This tile adhesive powder is manufactured and provided by the chemical company Beton Plast under the brands Ebtekar and Proofab, and it also bears the Iranian National Standard Mark.

Application Method for Proofab Tile Adhesive Powder
How should Proofab Tile Adhesive Powder be applied?
- Before applying the tile adhesive, ensure the surface is completely clean, free from any contaminants such as dust, grease, or loose materials.
- If contaminants are present, clean the surface using high-pressure water (water jet) or sandblasting.
- Ensure that at least 7 days have passed since the surface was freshly cemented.
Note: A 20 kg bag of Proofab Tile Adhesive Powder requires 5 to 6 liters of water to form the mortar.
- Mix the water and adhesive powder using a mechanical mixer (drill and paddle) until a uniform paste is achieved. Continue mixing until the consistency is smooth and even.
Note: Always add the powder to the water, not the other way around, to prevent the mixture from becoming uneven.
- Apply the mortar to the surface using a notched trowel.
- Place and secure the tiles onto the prepared surface.
- It is recommended to apply some mortar on the back of the tiles as well.
- Be mindful that the mixture, once prepared, must be used within 40 minutes, and the tiles should be fixed to the surface within 20 minutes after application.
