Nano Cement Grout (GN700)

High-Performance, Shrinkage-Free, Fine-Grain Grout for Dense Structural Sections

What is Nano Fine-Grain Grout?

Nano Cement Grout (Nano Grout) is a specially formulated high-performance cement-based grout designed for applications where reinforcement density is extremely high. In such cases, the tight spacing between rebars prevents the flow of conventional grouts with larger aggregates. Additionally, vibrating these congested sections is often challenging.

Due to the fine-grain formulation, with a maximum aggregate size of 1 mm, Nano Grout can easily flow through dense reinforcement without blocking or segregation. This shrinkage-compensated grout ensures uniform filling of voids and maintains excellent workability without the need for vibration.

Mechanism of Action of Nano Fine-Grain Cement Grout

Nano Fine-Grain Grout is composed of:

  • Cement
  • Graded fine aggregates (≤1 mm)
  • Powdered superplasticizers
  • Polypropylene fibers
  • Controlled expansive agents

Each component contributes to improving the workability and mechanical performance of the grout. The optimized particle size distribution eliminates excessive fines, ensuring a stable mix without shrinkage. The addition of superplasticizers enhances flowability while reducing water demand, leading to high early and final strength.

Polypropylene fibers improve resistance to abrasion and enhance mechanical properties, while expansive agents counteract shrinkage and prevent cracking by ensuring controlled expansion during curing.

Properties and Advantages of Nano Fine-Grain Cement Grout

  • Fast setting and early strength development for quick load application
  • Crack-free and shrinkage-free upon setting and curing
  • Self-compacting without requiring additional superplasticizers
  • High compressive strength and resistance to heavy static loads
  • Low water demand due to built-in superplasticizers
  • Controlled expansion ensuring volume stability
  • Excellent flowability for applications with dense reinforcement
  • Reduced permeability, preventing ingress of water and aggressive chemicals
  • No segregation or bleeding, ensuring uniform strength development
  • Rapid hardening for faster project completion

Applications of Nano Fine-Grain Cement Grout

  • Filling voids, cavities, and gaps in structural components
  • Grouting under foundations and base plates of heavy machinery
  • Underpinning and stabilizing prefabricated steel and concrete structures
  • Filling gaps between bridge decks and supports
  • Grouting beneath industrial rail tracks
  • Anchoring rebar, anchor bolts, and embedded elements
  • Grouting bolt holes and concrete box sections
  • Repairing deep structural voids with high-strength material

Standards Compliance

Nano Fine-Grain Cement Grout conforms to:

  • ASTM C476 (Specification for Grout)
  • ASTM C942 (Compressive Strength of Grout)

Consumption Rate

  • A 25 kg bag yields approximately 13 liters of grout.
  • For large-scale applications, the typical consumption rate is 2350 kg/m³.

Application Guidelines

  1. Surface Preparation
    • Ensure all surfaces are clean, free of dust, oil, grease, and loose particles.
    • Remove weak concrete using mechanical methods such as grinding or water jetting.
    • Saturate the concrete surface with water before grouting to prevent rapid water loss.
  2. Mixing
    • Use a clean container and add 3.5 liters of water for a paste-like consistency or 4.5 liters for a fluid grout per 25 kg bag.
    • Gradually add the grout powder to water while continuously mixing with a mechanical mixer (drill + paddle) for a homogeneous mix.
    • Mix for at least 3-5 minutes.
  3. Placement
    • Pour the grout continuously from one side to allow uniform flow and avoid air entrapment.
    • For larger voids, use a head box system to maintain steady flow.
    • Ensure proper confinement by using non-absorbent formwork.
  4. Curing
    • Protect the grout from rapid drying using wet burlap and plastic sheeting for at least 7 days.
    • In hot weather, use cold mixing water to control temperature.
    • In cold weather, use warm water and ensure protection against freezing.

Safety Precautions

  • Avoid direct contact with eyes and skin. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with clean water.
  • Do not inhale grout dust during mixing. Use protective masks and gloves.
  • This product is non-toxic and environmentally friendly but should not be ingested.
