Non-Explosive Demolition Agent
CE600
Ready-Mixed Mortar for Concrete Demolition Without Explosion
The Non-Explosive Demolition Agent (commonly known as “Katrak”) is a completely silent and safe material for demolishing concrete. Its mechanism is based on the force generated by significant volume expansion. Unlike explosives, it does not create any noise, shock waves, seismic activity, dust, or fumes during demolition. It works by creating cracks, causing the concrete, stone, or any material it is applied to, to fracture and break apart. Through its expansion, it can demolish reinforced concrete, unreinforced concrete, and various types of stone. This feature makes Non-Explosive Demolition Agent ideal for breaking concrete or stone in places like residential buildings. Demolition using this agent offers several advantages over explosives, including easy storage. Explosives require specialized storage facilities and pose inherent risks during transport and use. However, Non-Explosive Demolition Agent is easily stored in bags in enclosed environments and is completely safe both during storage and application.
Generally, demolishing a section or barrier made of concrete or stone typically requires explosives, which are accompanied by loud noise and may pose risks to people and the surrounding environment. In many cases, due to environmental conditions or the proximity of residential buildings, the use of explosives is not feasible. Therefore, demolition should be carried out using a safe and silent method. The Non-Explosive Demolition Agent is formulated to break concrete and stone sections by expansion. It creates tensile forces in the drilled holes, causing the section to break apart easily.
Using modern methods, such as Non-Explosive Demolition Agent, reduces the environmental impact and minimizes the risk to living creatures while also being more cost-effective compared to explosive methods. It is one of the simplest demolition methods available.
This product is a chemical compound used for demolishing or breaking concrete, stone, and other hard materials. It is especially useful when mechanical tools like electric hammers or explosives are not safe or effective. Proper use of Non-Explosive Demolition Agent simplifies and enhances the demolition process.
Mechanism of Action
How does the Non-Explosive Demolition Agent work?
After mixing with water, the demolition agent is poured into drilled holes. In a short period, the agent expands and exerts lateral pressure, creating cracks and fractures in the section, which makes it easy to demolish the surface.

Consumption Rate of Non-Explosive Demolition Agent
How much Non-Explosive Demolition Agent should be used?
The amount of Non-Explosive Demolition Agent required depends on the hole diameter and spacing. Below is a table showing the approximate consumption based on a 1-meter deep hole.
| Hole Diameter (cm) | 36 | 38 | 40 | 42 | 44 | 46 | 48 | 50 |
| Consumption (kg) | 1.7 | 1.9 | 2.1 | 2.3 | 2.5 | 2.8 | 3.0 | 3.2 |
Application Method of Non-Explosive Demolition Agent
How to use Non-Explosive Demolition Agent?
- Drill holes in the concrete or stone to be demolished (For free-standing concrete or stone, drill the holes vertically. For embedded concrete or stone, drill the holes at a 30-degree angle to the axis of the material).
- The hole spacing should be consistent and follow the guidelines. For the initial hole, the distance from the edge of the stone or concrete should not exceed 15 cm, and the spacing between holes in the middle should start at 25 cm.
- For complete demolition, the depth of the holes should be between 80% and 90% of the height of the concrete or stone.
- Clean and remove dust and moisture from the holes.
- Mix 5 kg of demolition agent with 1.33 liters of water in summer or 1.5 liters in winter until a uniform mixture is obtained without air bubbles.
- Pour the mixture into the holes so that they are completely filled.
- To prevent sun exposure and rain, cover the holes with wooden wedges or plastic sheets.
Hole diameter and spacing for various structures are given below:
| Material | Hole Diameter (cm) | Hole Spacing (cm) |
| Reinforced Concrete | 40 | 30 |
| Non-Reinforced Concrete | 50 | 40 |
| Soft Stone | 40 | 40 |
| Hard Stone | 50 | 30 |
