Bitumen Repair Glue
Repairing Bitumen Waterproofing Damages and Wear
Based on Bitumen Emulsion and Resin
Bitumen repair glue has long been a traditional and common method for waterproofing roofs, facades, bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas. As is well known, bitumen waterproofing has a short lifespan and is highly vulnerable to different weather conditions. Since 90% of houses built before 2011 were insulated using this method, they often suffer from water and moisture penetration over time. Additionally, impacts or the movement of heavy objects like air conditioners and chillers can damage bitumen waterproofing.
To address this issue, Beton Plast has formulated and produced a high-quality bitumen repair glue designed for both localized and extensive repairs, offering an economical and cost-effective solution. This product is based on bitumen emulsions and solvent-based resins, providing excellent adhesion to various surfaces such as bitumen, cement, and metal.
Product Features
This unique glue is not only a repair adhesive for bitumen waterproofing but is also widely used for insulation purposes throughout buildings. With a honey-like consistency, it can be easily applied using a roller or brush. It is a ready-to-use, single-component product, requiring no additional materials. It withstands weather changes without losing its physical properties or peeling off after drying.
A key advantage of this glue is that it can be applied over the entire waterproofed surface, reinforcing and extending its durability. When applied in its pure form or with fiberglass mesh (at least 3 mm thick), it can serve as a replacement for bitumen waterproofing on roofs, walls, bathrooms, and sanitary areas. Once dry, it forms a highly stable layer resistant to mechanical and surface stresses. Another major use of this product is as an underlayer adhesive for bonding bitumen sheets without the need for heat or flame.
Unlike other repair methods, this glue does not require heating or an open flame for application. It remains flexible in cold weather, preventing cracks, and offers five times the adhesion strength of raw bitumen, making it highly effective for various applications.

Mechanism of Action
Due to its high acrylic resin content, bitumen repair glue exhibits exceptional adhesion to various surfaces, ensuring a highly durable waterproof layer after application.
Application Instructions
- Localized Repair of Damaged Bitumen Waterproofing
- Clean the surface thoroughly, ensuring it is free of dust, dirt, and moisture.
- Remove any loose or deteriorated sections.
- Apply the glue directly to the damaged area and spread evenly with a trowel.
- Allow 12 to 24 hours for proper bonding.
- Wide-Area Application Over Existing Bitumen Waterproofing
- Ensure the surface is clean and dry before application.
- Repair localized damaged areas first before proceeding with full coverage.
- Pour the glue onto the surface and spread it evenly using a roller or rubber squeegee.
- Ensure a minimum thickness of 2 mm is applied.
- For maximum durability, apply two layers with fiberglass mesh between them to ensure up to 10 years of waterproofing protection.
- The surface will be fully usable within 24 to 48 hours after application.
Important Notes
- In cold weather, if stored at low temperatures, the glue may thicken. It should be kept at room temperature for at least 24 hours before use.
- If needed, place the container in warm water to soften the glue before application.
Consumption Guidelines
- If the glue comes into contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water.
- Store in a covered area away from moisture.
- If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
- Always wear a mask, gloves, and protective goggles when handling the product.
- Not classified as a hazardous material for humans or the environment.
- Highly flammable—keep away from open flames.
