How to Use the MOLD X140 Paving Mold

1. Mortar Mix: For optimal results, ensure that the cement mixture has a strength of at least 300, with a recommended normal mix of 350. The mix should have a slump of 4 to 6 for proper setting.
2. Lubricating the Mold: Before pouring the mortar, it is recommended to lubricate the mold with oil or diesel to prevent sticking.
3. Filling the Mold: Pour the mortar into the cells of the mold using a trowel. If different colors are used, work carefully to keep them separate and avoid mixing.
4. Tapping the Mold: After filling the mold, gently tap the surface to ensure the mortar is well compacted.
5. Removing the Mold: Let the mortar cure for 2-3 hours before removing the mold. Take care to remove it vertically to avoid damaging the patterned concrete.

Curing and Maintenance

 After removing the mold, the newly paved surface should be cured with water for at least 3 days. After 24 to 48 hours, the surface is walkable, and after 7 days, it can bear heavy loads such as vehicle traffic. After finishing the paving, clean the molds with water and a soft brush, and store them for future use.

Required Quantity of Molds

 The number of molds needed depends on the size of the area to be paved. For small areas, 2 to 4 molds are sufficient, while larger areas may require 16 or more molds to increase the efficiency of the process.
