Conventional waterstops may not be effective under such conditions, as they risk separating from the structure during the process.

To address this issue, Dumbbell Hollow PVC Waterstop is specifically designed for expansion and contraction joints exposed to high static pressures. This waterstop features a dual-sided ribbed profile and reinforced dumbbell-shaped edges along its length for secure attachment.

A continuous hollow chamber runs along the center of the waterstop, allowing it to absorb expansion and contraction stresses within the concrete structure. This design ensures effective waterproofing and structural stability in expansion joints subjected to high static pressures.

The Dumbbell Hollow PVC Waterstop is manufactured in 24 cm and 30 cm widths, with thicknesses ranging from 3 mm to 5 mm. Due to its high flexibility and tear-resistant edges, it can be securely fastened to reinforcement bars using binding wire. Additionally, it can be ordered with pre-punched holes for easier installation.

Connecting Two Ends of Dumbbell Hollow PVC Waterstop

Two methods can be used:

1. Heat Welding: Use a hot iron to melt both ends, then press them together until they fuse into a single unit after cooling.
2. Industrial PVC Adhesive: Overlap approximately 30 cm of both ends, apply PVC-compatible industrial adhesive, and press firmly until the bond is fully secured.
