PVC Waterstop for Wall Waterproofing

A flat wall waterstop is a flexible sealing strip used in construction joints to prevent water penetration. It is specifically designed for waterproofing concrete joints where there is no structural expansion or contraction, ensuring optimal moisture and seepage control.

Key Features of Flat Wall Waterstop

  • Higher tensile strength than standard requirements
  • High flexibility in both longitudinal and transverse directions
  • Excellent resistance to acids and alkaline substances
  • Service life equal to the lifespan of the structure

Applications of Flat Wall Waterstop

  • Prevents water leakage through construction and expansion joints
  • Waterproofs concrete joints exposed to water and liquids
  • Suitable for sealing dams, canals, and concrete pipes
  • Applicable for hydraulic structures
  • Used for waterproofing swimming pools and artificial lakes

Installation Method for Flat Wall Waterstop

Place the waterstop at the designated joint location so that half of its width is embedded in the first concrete pour, while the other half is embedded in the second pour. Pour the concrete gradually to prevent displacement of the waterstop. For perforated waterstops, follow the same procedure, ensuring that the cavity is precisely positioned at the expansion joint. Use specially designed clamps to secure the waterstop in place.

Joining Two Ends of the Flat Wall Waterstop

There are two methods for connecting the two ends of a flat wall waterstop:

  1. Thermal Welding: Use a heating tool to melt both ends of the waterstop. Once molten, press them together to form a seamless connection. After cooling, the joint becomes a uniform, solid piece.
  2. Industrial Adhesives: Apply industrial adhesives suitable for soft PVC bonding. Overlap approximately 30 cm of both ends, apply the adhesive between them, and press firmly until they are fully bonded.

Storage Conditions

If stored in its original packaging and protected with a cover to shield it from sunlight, oxygen, and ozone, the specified mechanical properties will remain stable for up to 12 months.
