Hard Fix Plastic Spacer

The Hard Fix Spacer is a heavy-duty plastic rebar spacer designed for high-load applications, including foundations, beams, tie beams (grade beams), and thick slabs. It provides optimal concrete cover for reinforcement in dense and heavy reinforcement networks.

Application of Hard Fix Spacer

Heavy structural elements such as:

  • Foundations and large-scale concrete sections
  • Heavy-duty beams and girders
  • Thick slabs with high reinforcement density

contain large-diameter rebars and dense reinforcement networks, which exert greater pressure on spacers compared to lighter structures like ceilings and standard beams. Therefore, the Hard Fix Spacer is designed to withstand high loads and provide the necessary stability and durability in such conditions.

With a point load capacity of 350 to 500 kg, the Hard Fix Spacer ensures adequate rebar cover when used in the correct quantity, based on the total rebar weight and applied loads.

This plastic spacer is specifically designed for harsh construction environments where high strength and pressure resistance are required.

Features of Hard Fix Spacer

  • Point load capacity: 350 to 500 kg
  • Provides proper concrete cover for rebars

How to Use Hard Fix Spacer

The Hard Fix Spacer has two locking clamps to secure the rebar in place. The rebar rests on the spacer seat, and the clamps ensure stability. The concrete cover thickness is determined by the distance from the bottom of the rebar to the formwork or base concrete.

Consumption Rate of Hard Fix Spacer

  • For foundations and semi-heavy slabs: 4 spacers per square meter
  • For ultra-heavy and massive slabs: 6 to 10 spacers per square meter (depending on structural load)
  • For beams and girders: 3 spacers per meter (2 spacers per row, spaced 60–70 cm apart)

Important Considerations for Hard Fix Spacer

  • Designed for heavy and semi-heavy structures, including foundations, thick slabs, and beams
  • For ultra-heavy reinforcement networks, the rebar weight per square meter must be calculated to determine the required spacer type and quantity
  • If the calculated rebar weight is moderate to low, the Maxfix Spacer may be a more economical alternative
  • Recommended for rebars 14 mm and above, as smaller-diameter rebars may not lock properly in the Hard Fix Spacer’s clamps
  • Do not twist or rotate the rebar when inserting it into the plastic spacer, as this may damage the locking clamps

Note: The Hard Fix Spacer is designed for rebars up to 32 mm in diameter. If concrete cover is required for larger rebars, plastic spacers may not be suitable, and alternative solutions should be considered.
