What is Porcelain Tile Adhesive?

Porcelain tile adhesive is a powder adhesive based on cement and copolymer resins, consisting of cement, graded silica aggregates, powdered polymers, and other natural and mineral modifiers. The synthetic polymers in this product enhance the bonding strength, making it ideal for installing large-format tiles and ceramics. This adhesive also exhibits high resistance to stagnant water, making it suitable for use in applications such as swimming pools and water storage tanks.

This product is designed to absorb minimal water and offers exceptional durability. Specifically formulated for porcelain tiles, it has limited use for other applications. One of its features is its lightweight compared to other similar products. This adhesive is used for bonding a wide variety of tiles, including mosaic, porcelain, and regular ceramics, and is suitable for installation on both vertical and horizontal surfaces.

Mechanism of Action

This powdered porcelain tile adhesive is formulated and produced based on copolymer resins, micronized fillers, and cement. When mixed with water, it forms a bonding mortar used for affixing various types of tiles and ceramics to different surfaces. The inclusion of cement and copolymer resins in the formulation ensures excellent adhesion to the underlying surfaces.

Consumption Rate

Typically, 2.5 kg is sufficient to cover 1 square meter.

Application Method

1. Ensure that the surface is clean and free from contaminants, loose particles, grease, etc.
2. Pour the required amount of water into a container.
3. Using an appropriate mechanical mixer, continue mixing until a smooth, lump-free paste is achieved. After mixing, let the mixture rest for 5 minutes and then mix again.
4. Apply the prepared paste using a notched trowel onto the surface.

• The product has a shelf life of six months in its original packaging.
• Store away from frost and extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
• The ideal storage temperature is between 10°C and 30°C.
