PROOFAB 881 Clear Universal Silicone Sealant is designed based on alkoxy acid technology, making it suitable for sealing and bonding a wide range of materials across various industries. Often referred to as aquarium sealant, PROOFAB 881 is specially designed for mirror and glass bonding, providing a strong, waterproof connection. Additionally, it features nano antibacterial technology that helps eliminate microorganisms on the applied surface.
This sealant is widely used in aquarium construction, automotive glass bonding, sealing around windows and doors, and securing glass façades. PROOFAB 881 maintains its elasticity and flexibility after curing and is highly resistant to various weather conditions as well as freeze-thaw cycles.
With an alkoxy acid base, this product has a vinegar-like odor during application, which dissipates after curing. It also has excellent resistance to environmental factors, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Application Method
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the application surfaces are clean, dry, and free from any grease, dust, or contaminants.
- Masking: For a neat finish, use masking tape around the application area to prevent excess sealant from spreading.
- Application: Insert the sealant cartridge into a caulking gun, cut the nozzle to the required width, and apply the sealant.
- Finishing: Smooth the applied sealant with a spatula and allow it to cure.
- Curing Time: PROOFAB 881 requires a minimum of 8 hours to dry, and depending on weather conditions and layer thickness, full curing may take up to 24 hours.
- Cleaning: Once cured, the sealant can be cleaned without difficulty.
