Screw Tile Leveling System
One of the most innovative and practical tools in tiling is the screw leveling system, designed to enhance accuracy, improve installation quality, and expedite the tile leveling process. This system replaces traditional methods with a screw-and-nut mechanism, ensuring a more precise and uniform tile installation.
Features and Benefits of the Screw Leveling System
- Enhanced Tile and Ceramic Leveling Precision
This tool minimizes height differences between tiles, effectively preventing lippage. - Eliminates the Need for Traditional Tools Like Hammers and Levels
This method reduces unwanted impacts on tiles and significantly speeds up the tiling process. - Prevents Moisture and Dirt Accumulation in Tile Joints
Smoother surfaces reduce moisture retention in grout lines, preventing bacterial growth. - No Need for Special Wrenches
Unlike other leveling systems, this model can be easily adjusted by hand or with a simple metal rod.
Components of the Screw Leveling System
This system consists of two main parts:
- Clip: Includes a horizontal base that sits under the tile and a vertical stem that secures the wedge.
- Screw Wedge: Functions as a nut that tightens onto the clip stem, ensuring the tiles are perfectly leveled.
Tiling Procedure Using the Screw Leveling System
- Surface Preparation and Adhesive Application
First, the tile adhesive is evenly spread using a notched trowel. - Placing the Clips at Tile Intersections
The clips are positioned between adjacent tiles according to tile dimensions. - Inserting and Tightening the Screw Wedges
The wedges are screwed onto the clip stems until the tiles are evenly leveled. - Allowing Adhesive to Cure
Once the adhesive sets, the clips can be removed by applying lateral force with a hammer or foot pressure.
Consumption Guidelines for Screw Tile Leveling Systems
The required number of leveling clips depends on tile size and surface area:
- Tiles up to 30×30 cm → One clip per side, placed at the midpoint.
- Tiles between 40×40 cm and 50×50 cm → Two clips per side, positioned 10 cm from the edges.
- Tiles between 60×60 cm and 80×80 cm → Three clips per side (two at 10 cm from the edges, one at the center).
- Tiles larger than 80×80 cm → One clip every 20–25 cm along each side.
Important Considerations
- The screw leveling system is designed for tiles with a minimum thickness of 8 mm and is not suitable for flooring materials like parquet.
- Ensure the tile adhesive is fully set before removing the clips to prevent shifting or misalignment.
- Unlike flat leveling systems that require a special wrench, the screw system can be tightened manually.
- The clips are single-use, while the wedges can be reused multiple times. When purchasing, plan accordingly to optimize cost efficiency.
This method provides a cost-effective, precise, and efficient solution for achieving perfectly leveled tile surfaces with minimal effort.
