Product Description

PROOFAB 888 Siliconized Sealant is an acrylic resin-based siliconized sealant that exhibits excellent elasticity and adhesion, closely resembling silicone sealants in its general properties. Also known as mastic, this product is widely used for sealing UPVC double-glazed windows and aluminum frames, effectively preventing the infiltration of water, moisture, and dust.

A key advantage of using PROOFAB 888 for door and window sealing is its high elasticity, which ensures strong resistance to structural movements and vibrations. Unlike traditional silicone sealants, this siliconized sealant is paintable, allowing the sealed areas to be painted after curing.

PROOFAB 888 is semi-transparent white upon application and becomes completely transparent after drying. Once fully cured, it retains its flexibility and elasticity, making it a cost-effective, high-performance sealant for construction and industrial applications. Additionally, it poses no contamination risk to potable water.

Consumption Rate

Application Method

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, and contaminants before application.
2. Masking: Apply masking tape around the sealing area for a clean finish.
3. Cartridge Preparation: Insert the sealant cartridge into a suitable sealant gun.
4. Nozzle Cutting: Cut the nozzle tip at the required width for application.
5. Sealant Application: Apply the sealant evenly along the joint or surface.
6. Tooling: Smooth the applied sealant using a putty knife or spatula for a uniform finish.
7. Curing Time:
   • Initial drying: Minimum 12 hours
   • Full curing: Up to 48 hours, depending on ambient temperature, humidity, and thickness
   • Paintable after 5 to 6 days

• Use protective gloves during application.
• This product is non-flammable, non-toxic, and environmentally safe.
• Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. If ingested, seek immediate medical attention.
• In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water and consult a physician.
