Ufix Plastic Spacer
The Ufix Plastic Spacer is a rebar support without locking clamps, designed to provide a stable base for reinforcement bars. Unlike traditional spacers, it does not have clamping arms and simply serves as a seating platform for rebars.
Key Features
- Point load capacity: up to 200 kg
- Universal compatibility: No diameter restrictions for rebars
- Easy placement: Installed before laying the reinforcement mesh
- Ideal for pre-tied rebar meshes in foundations and slabs
Why Use Ufix Spacer?
In some slabs and floors, pre-tied reinforcement meshes are used. Placing conventional spacers underneath these meshes can be difficult and time-consuming. The Ufix Spacer simplifies this process by allowing rebars to be placed directly on top of it.
Installation of Ufix Spacer
- Place Ufix Spacers on the surface before spreading the rebar mesh.
- Lay the reinforcement bars or mesh directly on the spacers.
- Ensure proper spacing to distribute the load evenly.
Consumption Rate
For medium-weight foundations and floors:
- 4 spacers per square meter
For heavy and high-volume slabs:
- 6 to 10 spacers per square meter, depending on load requirements
For beams and girders:
- 3 spacers per meter (typically 2 spacers per row, spaced 60-70 cm apart)
Important Considerations
- Designed for medium-weight structures such as beams, girders, and floors
- If used in heavy structures with dense reinforcement, first calculate the total weight per square meter to determine the required number of spacers
- For high loads (above 200 kg point load) or rebar sizes above 25mm, it is recommended to use Hard Fix Spacers instead
- Not suitable for high-movement zones or large-scale concrete pouring due to the lack of locking clamps
