Self-Leveling Mortar for Flooring
With excellent fluidity
What is Self-Leveling Mortar?
Uneven subflooring is one of the challenges in installing tiles, ceramics, or other flooring materials like wood. Ignoring subfloor irregularities results in an uneven surface, which, if not addressed, leads to additional costly corrections. Using manual mortars to level the surface can be a difficult and time-consuming process that often doesn’t yield ideal results. Therefore, the Self-Leveling Mortar has been formulated and produced to be applied in thin layers, spreading evenly across the surface with its self-leveling properties, creating a smooth and level finish. This self-leveling compound is a ready-mixed, single-component material with a special formulation that ensures excellent flow and leveling performance. Additionally, this product offers good resistance against water infiltration and environmental damage.
This self-leveling product is widely used for creating a smooth base for tile laying and installing flooring materials in thin layers. It is also employed as a final layer for surfaces in hallways, warehouses, rooms, etc.
Mechanism of Self-Leveling Mortar
This product is formulated with cement, micronized aggregates, plasticizers, active resins, and expansive agents. When poured, it flows smoothly due to its high fluidity and self-leveling characteristics, spreading uniformly across the surface. The active resins in the formulation give this product exceptional bonding and adhesion properties, allowing it to withstand high compressive forces. Additionally, the expansive agents compensate for cracking that may occur as the material dries, preventing shrinkage and moisture loss.

Self-Leveling Mortar Standards
This product meets the following global standards:
- BS EN 12706
- BS EN 1937
Consumption of Self-Leveling Mortar
The amount of self-leveling mortar needed varies depending on the surface’s unevenness and porosity. Under normal conditions, approximately 2-3 kg of the leveling product is needed per square meter at a thickness of 1mm.
Method of Application
Before applying the self-leveling mortar, the surface must be free from any dust, grease, or other contaminants. If any dirt is present, it should be removed with industrial vacuum cleaners and pressure washing (water jet) or sandblasting. The surface should be pre-wet, but no free water should be left on it during application. A suitable container for mixing one 25 kg bag of self-leveling powder with the required amount of water should be chosen. For each 25 kg bag, add 6-7 liters of water. First, pour water into the container, and while the mechanical mixer (drill with a paddle) is running, gradually add the powder until a smooth and uniform slurry is achieved. Once mixed, let the mortar sit for about a minute to release trapped air. Pour the slurry onto the surface and spread it using a trowel or spreader. Finally, level the surface using an air roller. After reaching initial set, keep the surface moist for 24 to 48 hours for curing.
