What is Antique Stone Adhesive?

Using traditional mortars, which consist of a mixture of stone powder and cement, is not a suitable option for installing antique stone on vertical surfaces. Instead, it is recommended to use specially formulated ready-to-use adhesives for installing decorative stones.
For proper installation and secure bonding of stones, an adhesive with high bonding strength, low density, and excellent durability is required. Antique stone paste adhesive is an ideal choice for installing decorative stones. Consumption Rate of Antique Stone Paste Adhesive
The required amount of adhesive depends on the surface condition (porosity, unevenness, and tile grooves). On average, 2.5 kg of this adhesive is sufficient for covering 1 square meter of surface area.
Application Method
- Ensure the surface is clean, free of dust, oil, and contaminants before application.
- If the surface is contaminated, use water jet (pressure washer) or sandblasting for cleaning.
- It is recommended to apply a primer layer (diluted concrete adhesive with water) before applying the adhesive.
- Spread the decorative stone paste adhesive onto the surface using a notched trowel.
- For enhanced adhesion, apply a thin layer of adhesive on the back of the stone before installation.
- Press the stone firmly into place.

Safety Precautions
