Strength Concrete Adhesive

Powerful Concrete Adhesive Based on Homopolymer Resins
Suitable for bonding new concrete to old concrete
Nano Strength Concrete Adhesive
In certain situations, concrete pouring might be interrupted, requiring continuation at a later stage after the initial concrete has fully set. This interruption weakens the concrete at the joint due to poor adhesion between the old and new layers, leading to reduced strength and increased permeability. Strength Concrete Adhesive is the ideal solution for bonding old concrete to new concrete and is also highly effective in repair works to improve the adhesion of repair mortar to the old surface. Additionally, when mixed with fresh concrete, it enhances particle adhesion and improves concrete properties.
This polymer-based adhesive is formulated from synthetic homopolymer resins, reacting effectively with water and cement in the concrete mix. It significantly increases tensile and flexural strength while improving the stability of concrete. Its primary feature is enhanced adhesion, which results in a denser concrete mix and reduced permeability. Using this adhesive also allows for a 5% reduction in the water-to-cement ratio.
Mechanism of Action
As a synthetic polymer, the adhesive disperses within the concrete mix, boosting the adhesion between concrete particles. It also forms a polymer film in the voids between aggregates, filling them after drying and significantly reducing permeability. Once the concrete sets, the adhesive fully dries and becomes insoluble in water.
Key Characteristics of a High-Quality Concrete Adhesive
To ensure the quality of a strength concrete adhesive, consider the following:
- Formulation: Must be made from water-based homopolymer or copolymer resins or a combination of both.
- Water Separation: In its container, the adhesive should not exhibit excessive water separation (more than the thickness of a fingertip). If excessive separation occurs, it may indicate an imbalance in formulation or a lack of thickeners and stabilizers.
- Absence of Fillers: The adhesive should not contain mineral powders like calcium carbonate or talc to increase viscosity. This can be tested by rubbing a small amount between fingers—if a gritty texture is felt, mineral powders may be present, reducing its effectiveness.

Usage Instructions
For Bonding New Concrete to Old Concrete:
- Ensure the old concrete surface is free from contaminants such as paint, oil, grease, or loose particles.
- Apply a thick layer of adhesive onto the old surface.
- Add 4–6% of the adhesive by cement weight to the new concrete mix.
For Repairing Concrete Surfaces:
- Apply a thin layer of adhesive to the repair area.
- Mix 3–5% of the adhesive by cement weight into the repair mortar before application.
For Internal Concrete Waterproofing:
- Mix adhesive and water in a 3:1 ratio before adding to the concrete mix.
- Thoroughly mix for at least one minute per cubic meter of concrete.
